Refund Policy.

1. Full refund

You get a full refund within 14 days of purchase where:

• We cannot return data for your registration or VIN (wrong plate, untraceable import, pre-1981 record gaps).
• Your report is materially incomplete because of our error, for example missing MOT history that DVSA holds.
• You were charged twice for the same check.

2. Free re-run

Where an official source (DVLA, DVSA, MIAFTR) corrects a record within 30 days of your report, we will re-issue your report free of charge instead of a refund, unless you prefer a refund and qualify under section 1.

3. What is not covered

• Records that change after your report is issued, such as new finance agreements, tax status or keeper changes.
• Change of mind after the report has been delivered in full.
• Disagreement with a valuation: CAP/Glass's figures are market guidance, not a guaranteed sale price.
• Vehicles bought without viewing, where the report itself was accurate at the time of issue.

4. How to claim

Email hello@cargauge.co.uk with your registration, purchase date and what went wrong. We aim to resolve claims within 3 working days. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method within 5 to 10 working days depending on your bank.

5. Your statutory rights

These terms sit alongside your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Consumer Contracts Regulations. Nothing here removes those rights. If you are unsure, contact Citizens Advice or Trading Standards.
